Olga Akbarova

Born and raised in Baku, Azerbaijan, Olga Akbarova eventually landed in San Jose, California.   After training as a fashion designer at art school, Akbarova started working in many creative areas. She continued to draw and fill files with piles of artwork. In 2018, Akbarova launched a business and dove into the world of freelance illustration and surface designing.

Her artistic practice is grounded in the sensitive use of colors and is inspired by nature's beauty. Akbarova uses traditional watercolor/gouache medium and digital software to make joyful, whimsical, detailed art. She lives with her husband, son, and a ginger tabby cat named Findus.
