Creator of dolly mamas
Self-taught artist Joey Heiberg is the queen of her own universe (mostly because the title of Queen of England was taken). Her happy place is in her studio, where she creates artwork while talking to the dog. She has AADD (Artist Attention Deficit Disorder). In other words, she gets bored easily and loves to develop with new designs on a daily basis.
Heiberg created the dolly mamas line 20 years ago as an outlet from her crazy family. Who knew her idea would sell over $30 million worth of merchandise? Her success has won her multiple Louie awards. Heiberg has created designs for products ranging from dinnerware to tween jewelry stands.
She made an ass out of herself on HGTV, QVC and several news stations. Her artwork is in the homes of actresses, galleries, and gift shops in the U.S., Canada, England, and Australia.
“The word ‘no’ doesn't exist,” says Heiberg. “My world is surrounded by ‘what if's’ and ‘why not's.’”
Her goal is to inspire other women to go after their dreams while still being able to afford a fabulous pair of shoes.
